Some Questions and Answers

First off: How do I sign up??

The best way to contact me currently is through email (standingintimephotography@gmail.com).  Let me know what kind of session you're looking for and if you have a particular location in mind (I can also offer suggestions for locations if that helps you!).  I like to schedule sessions with the lighting is best outside -- mornings and late afternoons.

How long does a session last?

The session will generally last up to one hour but we're happy to work as long as needed up to 8 hours per day.  I will have proofs ready for you to look through within a week unless specified otherwise.

How does the ordering process work?

Once you have your proof sheet you will receive an order sheet that clearly explains the ordering process.  Past sessions will be archived and available for reprints as needed.  To order these you must have the proper information (names & dates) ready.  If you lose this information your photos are not gone forever but we will charge a small fee for the time spent locating the past pictures.  Things that will make this process easier is pictures of the people in the photos or rough ideas on the date when the shoot took place.  Regardless, we will locate your missing photos whether you have all the info we need or we need to spend a day hunting them.  The only time we will not keep photos is if the client purchases a full media disk with the copyrights to all photographs.  At this point our copies of those photos are destroyed and 100% ownership is the clients.

What should i wear?

Honestly, you could wear anything you wanted, but there are a few standards that might help you make a decision:  first, wear something that makes you feel good!  If you feel good about yourself, you're going to look (and be) more confident.   It's also a good idea to wear something that you can comfortably sit in.

If you're in a group (like a large family picture), coordinating colors always look great.  Not everyone has to match exactly -- think about those big-box family pictures from the 1980s where everyone is wearing matching sweaters!! -- but coordinating colors from the same color family are ideal.

On hot days, consider whether or not you might sweat or be uncomfortable.  No one wants sweat stains in their pictures so plan accordingly.  We can offer advice for anyone concerned during the scheduling session.

What if it rains?

Camera gear doesn't play very nicely with water, so if it rains, we'll have to reschedule.  We'll make the call the day of the session unless you specifically request more notice.  I generally do not like to cancel a day early as the weather may be slated to be bad but the day of is ideal.  If you have scheduled an afternoon session, I'll get in touch with you about 2 hours prior (since weather changes so quickly here) and we'll make a decision.  I will try to reschedule you as quickly as I can!

How to I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

There is a $40 scheduling fee that you will waive upon cancellation or reschedule.  If the reschedule is due to weather you will not lose the scheduling fee.  This is to keep us most efficient as a business and to keep our staff from having to reschedule their day and if so, they can be compensated for their reschedule.
